Adding guests
Upload a CSV or Excel file, or paste names one per line. On the mapping step, pick which column is the guest name — and an optional last name column to merge first + last into a full name. Add an optional keep-together group and a party-size count too. Already in the editor? Use Import from file under Guests to add more, or Remove all guests to start the list over (tables stay put).
Templates & loading a file
Got a layout file from a venue or coordinator? Open Manage → Load file and pick it. A template (no guests) drops in the tables ready for you to seat your own list. A save file (with guests) loads the whole chart — seating and all. From Export you can also save a Template (your layout, guests removed) to hand to someone else.
Locking the layout
Turn on Lock layout under Manage to freeze every table and object in place — handy once the arrangement is final, or when a coordinator has set it for you. Locked tables can’t be moved, resized, rotated, added, or deleted, but you can still seat guests and rename tables. Some files arrive locked by a coordinator; those keep the layout fixed.
Auto-seat & parties
Set a table shape and seats-per-table, then Auto-seat arranges everyone, keeping families and parties together when they fit. Re-seat everyone rebuilds the layout from scratch.
Moving guests
Drag a guest onto an empty seat to move them there. Drop onto another guest to swap their places. Drop onto the Unseated panel to free them. You can also tap a guest, then tap an empty seat, to place them.
Undo & redo
Changed your mind? The Undo button in the top bar steps back through your recent changes — moving guests, resizing tables, re-seating, and more — and Redo sits right beside it. Keyboard: Ctrl/⌘ + Z to undo, Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + Z to redo.
Editing tables
Click a table to rename it, change its shape, color, or seat count, or delete it. Drag a table on the canvas to reposition it. Use + Add table for more.
Exporting & printing
From Export: a master chart, per-table cards, place cards grouped by table, an alphabetical guest list (PDF or CSV), and a .json save file you can re-open later.
